My Dog Is NOT A Scientist - Coming Spring 2023!!!

I am so excited to announce that my debut picture book My Dog Is NOT A Scientist is coming out in the Spring of 2023 from Yeehoo Press. I’ve actually been working with my editor, Molly Shen, since September which as many readers know coincided with a time when my non-writing life was thrown into chaos with divorce, moving, and job-hunting - all part of life moving in the right direction but still tressful. This project has been my ray of light. Molly and Yeehoo have been a delight to work with. The illustrator is the amazing Luisa Vera and I could not be more pleased. The larger-than-life humor in her illustrations is perfect for this wacky STEM story with an SEL heart.

Speaking of story, here’s the synopsis:

Winning the science fair would be easy if it wasn’t for Renzo. This playful dog turns the scientific method on its ear ruining all of Yara's experiments. Or are re they ruined? With a never-give-up attitude, Yara learns maybe play is science after all.

I’m just starting to dive into the book marketing side of this writing business and I plan to keep you posted with things I learn along the way. I also have a list of experiments, coloring sheets and other resources I plan to launch on here to support the book.
